Miniature Pinschers, along with most TOY BREEDS, do   N O T   make a good pet for PREteen children. Small children's behavior is not normally restrained enough for MinPins. Toy sized dogs are intimidated by the quick, rough & jerking movements of a small child.

Are there any children in the home?(REQUIRED) Yes No

If YES, what are the ages of the children?

Are you planning a family within the next 15 to 20 years?(REQUIRED) Yes No

Tri-Del Miniature Pinschers will have ALL puppies cropped, both show specimens and companions. The AKC Miniature Pinscher is a DOCKED and CROPPED breed. Docked tails & cropped ears have been a defining feature of the breed since it was developed in Germany over 400 years ago. If you desire a natural tail or natural ears, look into a breed that matches your desires ... the MinPin is probably NOT the breed for you.

REhoming a natural eared adult is very difficult. Most inquiries on adopting adults is for CROPPED adults. I crop my puppies so that in the event the dog finds him/herself homeless, I will be able to locate a new home for the dog.

You understand that IF you take the puppy before 14wks of age, you will be required to return the dog to me at 12 weeks of age & the dog will remain with me for AT LEAST 2 weeks after surgery while the edges heal? Yes No

If you insist on NOT cropping your puppy, you understand the "God Parent" you listed above will be REQUIRED to sign a contract promising to adopt the dog if you are ever unable to provide a home for the dog? Yes No

Do you presently own any pets Yes No

If YES, what kind?

Have you owned Miniature Pinschers in the past? Yes No

If YES, what happened to them?

Have you owned any other pets in the past? Yes No

If YES, what kind and what happened to them?

Do you own or rent your home? Own Rent
If you RENT are pets allowed? Yes No
Landlord's Name (REQUIRED):

If you move to a place where pets are NOT allowed, what would you do?

Fences are a NECESSITY with MinPins! You will need a relatively escape proofed fence that they cannot go over, under or through.

What type of fence do you have?

Wood
Wire Mesh or Chain Link
Portable Exercise Pen
Other (explain)

What is the height of your fence?

If you do not presently have a fence, are you willing to purchase a portable exercise pen for the dog's safety and convenience? Yes No

Do you understand that the Miniature Pinscher should never be allowed off lead in open spaces? Yes No

How many hours will the dog be alone during the day?

Where will you keep the dog while you are not home?

Do you have a crate to keep the dog in when you cannot watch them? Yes No
If NO, are you willing to purchase one for the safety of the dog? Yes No

Do you realize that Miniature Pinschers, as with all Toy Breeds, take time, consistency and dedication to housebreak? Are you willing to properly train your new pet and deal with accidents UNTIL SUCCESS IS ACHIEVED? Yes No

The NUMBER ONE reason dogs find themselves homeless is because of
PROBLEM BEHAVIOR!!!

Bad behavior is almost ALWAYS 100% the owner's negligence to properly train the dog.

Are you willing to be a responsible owner, investing your money and time in order to properly train your dog? Will you enroll and complete AT LEAST one obedience course?

Yes No

If NO, why not?
