Pepper/Angel Black Boy 10 wks old

Pep/Angel black boy's picture

He is a black & rust male with high show potential.

Coal at 15wks old

Coal's movement is beautiful, especially his side gait. His temperament is wonderfully outgoing. His short coupled body and dynamite attitude will hopefully help me through the difficult task of showing a black & rust.

Coal's 2nd show

Coal's pic

Coal's 2nd time walking into the show ring, he was WD for his first point. Coal is 7 months old and FULL of himself. Judge, Allen Buckner, called him "so stylish" & I would have to say I agree with that observation.

Coal is also very spirited, I'd almost call him a flirt. He will go to strangers, but he won't let them catch him. Instead he plays the elbows down, tail up, bob~n~weave game with your hand. He's a real character to show.

Coal ends the year with a win

He's coming together nicely. I've shown him 4 times for the year once at 6 months of age & 3 times he was 7 months old. He has made a showing every time he's been in the ring, going RWD, WD, RWD & WD to round out his year. We are going to work on tabling during the winter & be back out in the Spring.

Coal thinks highly of himself & I'm fast becoming a believer as well. He was only shown 1 weekend in 2004 (winning Reserve to the major) before flying to Portland, OR for the MPCA Nationals. He defeated 53 other dogs from the 9-12 black puppy dogs class for his first major.

Coal's Nationals win

Coal's Nationals win

Judge Anne Rogers Clark said in the June 1, 2004 Pinscher Patter about Coal
"9-12 Months Black and Rust Puppy Dog Class: ...This class is won by a well constructed, good footed, stallion of a dog that stands in first. He is lovely made, lovely from the side. He is good coming and going,..."
"Winners Dog to a lovely black and tan stallion of a dog. He is sound with a lovely topline, lovely tail set and croup. He has a great opinion of himself. He never let down. He has a handsome head and eye. He made the most of everything he has."

I am extremely flattered with the judge's comments on him. I am so happy she found many of Coal's attributes as pleasing as I and his ringside fan club do.

Coal

Coal's Portrait

Coal has been Winners Dog or Reserve every time I have shown him except once.

When we got home from the Nationals I learned that a litter Coal sired (born April 13, 2004) has a chocolate boy in the litter. Coal is just full of surprises ... but afterall he is Abby's 1/2 brother.

Coal Best of Breed

Coal's 1st Breed Win

Coal's first show out since coming home from the Nationals, he took Best of Breed over the 3 Specials for a 4 point major. He has both majors at this point & is looking for 4 singles to finish his championship.

Coal finishes with a Group Placement

Coal's Rosette

Coal picked up his last 2 singles and a Group 4 to finish his Championship in style!

I did a VERY dumb thing ... I let friends talk me into sending the dog out on a co-ownership. I had no intention of selling the dog, but I did after 2 months of prodding. I have learned some important lessons from this and I only hope I retain those lessons. I very much regret letting the dog leave my sight.

Thanks to these judges for Coal's wins.
