Home Sweet Home
My first love was the Dobermann. I think I will always be owned by at least one. The obvious deviation from the breed was the
addition of Miniature Pinschers, which has blossomed into my obsession I'm still interested in Dobermans, I'm not cut out to be a Dobe handler. To borrow a phrase... sure I'm in shape, round is a shape isn't it? I m putting my efforts into my pins for now. I still love the idea of showing a Dobe again in the future, but certainly not right now.
I have interests in other breeds too. I have interest in the Toy Fox Terrier. I am very active in the TFT parent club, American Toy Fox Terrier Club. I am persuing a breeding program in TFTs. I hope to some day to enjoy as much success in TFTs as I have in MinPins. I have a Chihuahua that is one of the loves of my life. Fred, the Chihuahua, finished very quickly. He was a joy to show & is a great companion and sofa buddy. I do not have any intentions of breeding Chis in the immediate future. I love the Great Danes, I had a pet Harlequin bitch named Fancy. She was the BEST socialization for getting my MinPins used to BIG dogs. I miss Fancy & maybe someday I'll have a Dane again. The big dogs just die too young.
My MinPin obsession began while showing (or rather having a handler show) my Doberman bitch Willow. She was out of CH Aquarius Make My Day Ravenswood x Aquarius Castaway. With great sorrow, I eventually lost Willow to ovarian cancer at the tender age of 20 months.
While showing Willow I met Al DeVono at the MinPin ring through another MinPin exhibitor. Al was the one that suggested that I "needed" a breed I could show and handle myself. A few months later I saw Al showing a puppy dog he had just bought. He was a beautiful 10 month old puppy named Pepper. I told Al I d be interested in a Jamaica/Pepper puppy. A few months later Jamaica came to live with me. A year or so later Pepper also came to live with me. I now co-own the very two MinPins that made me want to consider owning a MinPin in the first place. And so they say, the rest is history.
My kennel name, Tri-Ryche, is from my appreciation of a progressive metal type band, recording artists known as Queensryche. Tri-Ryche is the name given to the symbol that represents the band, it looks a little like the Boy Scouts emblem. Queensryche, a band that came out of Seattle in the 1980's, is particularily known for a rock ballad "Silent Lucidity". My favorite album of theirs is a theme album or epic, Operation:MindCrime, followed closely by their "Rage for Order" album. My favorite song of theirs is off of their first album, the song title is "The Lady Wore Black". I'm not affiliated with the band, I'm a fan that names her dogs after the band's symbol.
My favorite spectator sports are NFL football, Major League Baseball & UFC fights. UFC,are fights for the people who wish WWF was real, not just choreographed acrobatics.
I enjoy cross-stitching and sewing on occasion, but I must admit ... I don't have time for them much anymore. I collect my dog breeds' memorabilia as well as
Giraffe collectibles (oh to be tall and thin) :::sigh:::.
I love antique vehicles, we currently own a '66 Mercedes, 2 '56 Plymouth 4-doors, a '56 Plymouth 2-door, a '56 Plymouth 2-door Suburban Station wagon and a '50 Studebaker. The cars are more my husband's hobbies than mine, but I do enjoy driving them.
My favorite TV entertainment is Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Medium, The Apprentice (Trump), Queer as Folk, action movies and sports (NFL, MLB & UFC) programs. I enjoy Flower Gardening and Home Improvement Projects too, when I can spare the time.
Welcome to our home in Richmond, Virginia.

We bought our house in August of 1990. It is located east of Richmond, actually located in Henrico County.
The house sits on just over a 1/2 acre (.65 to be exact). We have about a 1/3 of an acre fenced for the dogs.
How's the weather in Richmond?

My long suffering kennel help, also known as my husband, Scott. Without whom, I could not participate in one of the noblest hobbies known to man; breeding & exhibiting Miniature Pinschers.
Dear Lord, I pray for Wisdom to understand my man;
Love to forgive him;
And Patience for his moods.
Because, Lord, if I pray for Strength,
I'll beat him to death.
AMEN

Tri-Del is dedicated to only breeding Miniature Pinschers that are considered to be superior specimens of the breed, preferably those that are recorded by the AKC as Champion of Record. We firmly believe that Hackney is NOT the only worthy trait of the breed. We breed for sound body and temperament as well as movement. Tri-Del does NOT support, condone or endorse breeding for profit or pet quality. Tri-Del encourages responsible breeding: breeding only in the effort to improve the breed as according to the standard of excellence as set forth by the MPCA and accepted by the AKC.
